The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam Specified Authority proposes to introduce Sree-Seva centres that would serve as a one-stop-shop for all pilgrim services.
Services that are to be packaged in Sree-Seva include reservation of accommodation, reservation of tickets for darshan of Lord Venkateshwara and providing travel advisory including projected wait-time for darshan and grievance redressal system.
About 50 Sree-Seva centres have been proposed to be set up at Tirumala, Tirupati, all district headquarters in Andhra Pradesh and major cities across the country.
Chairman of the specified authority, J Satyanarayana, explained to chief minister, K Rosaiah, some of the ideas and proposals under discussion. The final action plan would be submitted to the government for approval at the earliest.
The chief minister, who chaired the first meeting of the specified authority at his residence on Wednesday, said the serenity, sanctity, credibility and popularity of the world famous Tirumala temple should be sustained and improved further.
He wanted the authority to bring in vast improvements, which should be non-controversial and at the same time beneficial to all devotees.
