"The NSA's briefing looked like a compilation of the reports in newspapers. There was nothing new which he added in today's meeting", said a minister.
Prime Minister Manmohan Singh reportedly didn't say anything about the blasts and simply asked the NSA to brief the Cabinet about the incident, which has sent shockwaves in the ruling establishment and kicked up a political storm with the the BJP charging the Centre with not allowing its states to enforce stricter laws to deal with terrorism.
According to sources, Narayan referred a few times to the suspected terrorists buying new bicycles to plant the bombs but couldn't say which terrorist group might have executed the plan. He also refrained from mentioning the name of any neighbouring country that sources in the government suspect could have helped the terrorists.
