UHBVN liberalises policy for setting up feeders

Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam has liberalised policy allowing independent feeders up to 11 KV be set up by the consumers.

A spokesman for the Nigam said the independent feeder would be allowed only when there was no problem of way of any sort for laying of the feeder and the right connected load was minimum one Mw. For group of industries the independent feeder would be allowed if the cumulative load was more than 2 Mw.

The option of having exclusive independent feeder would also be available to government hospitals, public health, water works, defence services, telephone exchange, All India Radio, railway, educational institutions, sewerage disposal plants, government treatment plants for which they would be asked to defray the full cost of constructing such feeders along with 10 per cent department charges.
