The Andhra Pradesh government is planning to constitute a unified authority for allotment of land for industrial and other purposes. The authority will also have powers to take back the land if the allottee fail to utilise the same within the prescribed time limit.
This is going to be the major feature of the proposed Land Allotment Policy 2011, which would be notified after discussing it with all political parties in June first week.
Chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy today held a review meeting with the heads of 12 departments on finalising the note on the proposed land allotment policy.
State revenue minister N Raghuveera Reddy, who briefed the media, said the government intended to follow a scientific and transparent method in allotment of land to industries and other purposes through the new policy. The policy note will be finalised by the end of this month and the government will take the opinion of all political parties before notifying the same next month, he said.
