UP govt withdraws NSA against Varun

Complying with the Suprem Court directive, the Mayawati government in Uttar Pradesh today revoked National Security Act (NSA) against BJP leader Varun Gandhi for allegedly delivering hate speeches in Pilibhit.

"Following the Supreme Court order, the state government has revoked NSA against Varun Gandhi," a senior government official said here.

Varun was arrested under NSA on March 29.
