UPA yet to deliver results of NREGA

The UPA, whose governance will test Lok Sabha polls next year, is yet to deliver the desired results of its flagship National Rural Employment Act (NREGA) schemes to its target group of the rural poor. While the Union Rural Development Ministry is trying to overcome the scheme's previous shortcomings, it now faces the recent impediments from none other than the nationalized banks and the government's own post offices.
