Prince George's county Economic Development Corporation Vice-President Patricia E Hayes Parker told a Press conference here the county, which is the second-largest and richest of 23 counties in the US, would promote Indian companies coming to Maryland and would encourage their local companies to come to India, especially Haryana. |
Maryland Agriculture University and Haryana Agriculture University at Hissar in Haryana have signed a memorandum of understanding for joint research in various fields, including animal genetics, agricultural production and biogenetic research, Parker said. |

Asked to compare India and China, Parker said, "We find greater transparency in India, there is greater stability and banking is easy as compared to China." |

Currently, Indian exports to Maryland comprise garments, upholstery, handloom, medicine, chemical and engineering goods and imports include chemicals and hi-tech computers. |
