US crude oil rises to $45.68

Oil prices edged higher in the international markets yesterday. While the NYMEX U.S. light crude oil for Feburary series rose 35 cents to close at $45.68 a barrel, the London Brent crude added 52 cents to settle at $43.25 per barrel.

The metal segment saw the COMEX gold jump $3 to finish at $422.40 an ounce.
