The US indices on the Wall Street ended with significant losses. The Dow Jones industrial average slumped 142 points to 11,501. The Nasdaq plunged 48 points to 2,273. Fresh worries of inflation amid soaring gold and oil prices spooked Wall Street.

The Indian ADRs, too, ended deeply in the red. Infosys and Satyam plunged over 3% each to $78.61 and $35.39, respectively. ICICI Bank and HDFC Bank declined over 2% each to $29.62 and $61.48, respectively. Wipro dropped 2% to $13.79, and Patni Computers was down 1.5% at $16.60. MTNL slumped 4% to $9.06. However, VSNL and Dr.Reddy's ended in the green.

The crude oil futures for June delivery rose $1.19 to settle at $73.32 per barrel on the NYMEX.
