Usha Intl Chalks Out Agressive Game Plan

Lines up new products in economy range too

Usha International, the leading consumer durables marketing company and part of the Delhi-based Shriram group, is planning an aggressive marketing strategy for the coming fiscal through introduction of several new products and targeting an additional Rs 100 crore turnover to take its total revenue to Rs 500 crore in 2003-04.

According to Sunil Wadhwa, the managing director of Usha International, the company will introduce as many as 19 new products in its largest turnover segment-- fans-- and 10 models of appliances in which it claims national leadership.

Wadhwa told media persons here this afternoon that for the first time pedestal fans with remote control operations would be introduced next month.

 

One prime model in this segment will also have electronic control to deliver mist air, targeted against the niche consumer.
