Vadodara station to get a facelift

The Western Railways division has invested Rs 1.5 crore in the ongoing expansion project of the Vadodara railway station.

The project is in its final stage of completion.The length of platform numbers four and five will be increased to accommodate 22 coaches.

Right now, both have the capacity to accommodate 18 coaches. Platform number three will have a washable apron.

K L Pandey, divisional manager of Western Railway's, Vadodara, said, "The expansion project is nearing completion and will be accomplished by March 2006".
