Software major Satyam Computer Services said its turnover may cross Rs 640 crore during this fiscal, signifying a 52 per cent growth over 1998-99.
According to Srini Raju, managing director of Satyam Enterprise, the company is anticipating a growth of more than 50 per cent to cross Rs 640 crore mark. During 1998-99, Satyam recorded a turnover of Rs 419 crore.
Satyam Computer also announced yesterday the launch of `Dr Millennium', a web-based IT services platform, which enables cost effective and comprehensive Y2K solutions.

"Y2K diagnosis using Dr Millennium, individuals, corporates and institutions around the world can now gain access to cost-effective and easy-to-use comprehensive Y2K solutions," Raju said at a press conference here.
Dr Millennium is priced at Rs 499 for standalone PCs and between $35 and $70 for corporates and institutions. As a goodwill gesture, Dr Millennium will be offered to all schools and hospitals in the country free of cost.
Raju said revenue from the Y2K-compliant software accounted for 28 per cent of the turnover last year and during 1999-2000, the expected loss in revenue from Y2K kits would be compensated by offering web-enabled services including e-commerce and "vision compass", a software solution to measure and manage activities within an organisation.
According to him, Y2K diagnosis using Dr Millennium via the Internet or the intranet will help users audit all aspects of their IT infrastructure of PCs, servers, network components with ease and confidence.
In every quarter from now, the company would add new value additions to the Dr Millennium series. rms
