The group consisting of 150 officers has been trained in five simultaneous batches on a 21-week intensive foundation training, the first of its kind in the history of Panchayat Raj department. |
The post of Extension Officer was created on the state government's decision to merge the earlier separate posts for Panchayat Raj and rural development. |
A total outlay of about Rs 15,000 crore has been sanctioned by the centre to the state for rural development, said chief guest J C Diwakar Reddy, minister for Panchayat Raj, on the occasion. |
