In a retaliatory move, Union Labour Minister Sahib Singh Verma has removed nominees of the Leftist trade unions from the central board of trustees of the employees provident fund for opposing his dream project of providing houses to EPF members.
Exercising his powers as chairman of the central board of trustees which manages EPF, Verma reorganised the board and gave maximum representation to the Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh.
He struck off the names of All-India Trade Union Congress (Aituc) nominee Pradyuman Singh and Citu nominee W R Waradrajan.

Sources said the minister decided to remove Singh and Waradrajan because the Aituc and the Citu had failed to provide a panel of three names for induction in the central board of trustees.
However, the Citu and the Aituc took objection to the government
