Beauty care services provider VLCC is undertaking a branding exercise to position itself as a "holistic wellness firm", taking its image beyond just slimming centres, and has increased its advertising spend to Rs 75 crore this fiscal for this purpose.
The company, which spent Rs 45 crore last year on marketing initiatives, has raised its advertising budget by 40 per cent this fiscal and has tied up with global advertising agency Ogilvy & Mather (O&M) for the purpose.
"Over the years we have been looked at as a traditional slimming service provider. But we would like to change this and position ourselves as more holistic wellness firm. So, we have increased out adspend by 40 per cent to Rs 75 crore to support our initiatives," VLCC Managing Director Sandeep Ahuja told PTI.
He said the company will be enhancing its online advertising and customer care relations and has signed up with various agencies, including O&M as its new creative agency.
"The appointment of O&M and top specialists in the areas of CRM (customer relationship management) and Internet marketing is in keeping with the group’s target of achieving huge growth in the next two years, both in India and overseas," he said.
