Wall St ends flat; Fed keeps rates unchanged

The Wall Street ended almost flat on Thursday, after the Federal Reserve said it sees moderate economic growth over coming quarters but signaled it remains concerned about inflation.

The Fed kept interest rates unchanged at 5.25% for the eight straight meeting.

The Dow Jones industrial average was down five points at 13,422. The Nasdaq was up three points at 2608.

Indian ADRs ended mostly in green. Patni Compurters surged 1.6% to $25.25. Infosys, Satyam and HDFC Bank advanced over 1% each to $51.43, $25.06 and $83.08, respectively. MTNL and VSNL were the notable losers at $7.81 and $23.14, respectively.
