Wall St ends lower; Indian ADRs slide

The US indices dropped for yet another day yesterday on the Wall Street. The Dow Jones industrial average shed 77 points to 11,128. The Nasdaq was down 15 points at 2,180.

Among the Indian ADRs, the telecom stocks were the major losers. While MTNL crashed 7.5% to $7.69, VSNL tumbled 6.5% to $18.29. Wipro plunged over 4% to $12.70. Infosys and Patni Computers shed 3% each to $72.12 and $16.26, respectively. Satyam and HDFC Bank were down almost 2% each at $33.21 and $56.43, respectively.
