Wall St ends mixed; VSNL drops 5%

The Wall Street ended on a mixed note. While the Dow Jones industrial average slipped 40 points to 14,047, the Nasdaq moved up six points to 2747.

Indian ADRs, too, ended on mixed note. Satyam and ICICI Bank advanced over 1% each to $26.83 and $55.26, respectively. On the other hand, VSNL plunged 5.4% to $23.18. Sterlite, Tata Motors and Dr.Reddy's were down almost 1% each at $19.05, $19.40 and $16.90, respectively.
