Wall St extend upmove; MTNL, VSNL ADRs soar

After a record breaking day for Dow on Wednesday, the US indices yesterday extended gains. The Dow Jones industrial average index gained 16 points at 11,867. The Nasdaq added 15 points to 2306.

Indian ADRs rallied smartly. VSNL zoomed nearly 7% to $18.77, and MTNL soared 5% to $7.05. HDFC Bank rallied 3% to $63.52. Wipro and Tata Motors surged over 2% each to $13.63 and $19.56, respectively. Infosys gained 1% at $48.03.

The crude oil futures for November delivery moved up 62 cents to settle at $60.03 per barrel on the NYMEX.
