Wall St halts downmove; Indian ADRs perk up

The US indices broke their eight-day losing streak by ending with decent gains. The Dow Jones industrial average surged 111 points to 10,817. The Nasdaq added 14 points to 2,086.

Indian ADRs, too, perked up. Wipro and VSNL surged over 4% each to $10.78 and $14.07, respectively. Tata Motors, Satyam, ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank and Dr.Reddy's were up 1-3% each.
