Wall St moves up, crude spikes; ADRs drop

The US stocks moved up on Wednesday backed by rising energy shares owing a sharp spike in crude oil prices. The Dow Jones industrial average gained 68 points at 13,785. The Nasdaq was up eight points at 2648.

Indian ADRs ended mostly in red. VSNL plunged 3% to $22.90. Satyam, Patni Computers, ICICI Bank and HDFC Bank declined around 1% each to $27.41, $25.28, $47.68 and $89.90, respectively. MTNL has soared nearly 3% to $7.71.

The US crude oil futures soared 3% to $75.88 a barrel.
