Wall St rallies; ADRs surge

The US stocks rallied smartly following an upward revision in the economic growth forecast. The Dow Jones industrial average surged 90 points to 12,227. The Nasdaq advanced 20 points to 2432.

The Indian ADRs, too, ended on positive note. Dr.Reddy's rallied 2.5% to $16.44. HDFC Bank advaned 2.2% to $75.38. Satyam gained 1.8% at $23.37, and Infosys added 1.6% to $53.32. ICICI Bank spurted over 1% to $38.75. MTNL, however, dropped nearly 2% to $5.88.
