Wall St slips; ADRs mixed

The Dow Jones industrial average slipped 43 points to 12,421. The Nasdaq was down 12 points to 2416.

Indian ADRs ended on a mixed note. MTNL and VSNL surged 2% each to $5.84 and $18.10, respectively. Infosys and Tata Motors gained 1.5% each to $53.52 and $19.39, respectively. On the other hand, HDFC Bank dropped 2.4% to $71.39, and ICICI Bank slipped 1.7% to $38.82.
