Wall St up; ADRs mixed

The Dow Jones industrial average moved up 25 points to 12,423. The Nasdaq added four points to 2438.

Indian ADRs ended on a mixed note. MTNL zoomed 6% to $6.92. Patni Computers surged 4% to $20.59. ICICI Bank advanced 2% to $20.59, and VSNL added 1% to $19.48. Satyam and HDFC Bank were down nearly 1% each to $23.67 and $72.62, respectively. Infosys, Wipro and Dr.Reddy's ended marginally in the negative zone.
