Wall St up; ADRs slide

The Dow Jones industrial average moved up 21 points to 12,328. The Nasdaq was up six points at 2443. The US Federal Reserve will meet tonight for the last time in 2006 to decide on interest rates. It is widely speculated that the rates may be kept unchanged.

The Indian ADRs ended in a sea of red. VSNL tumbled over 5% to $18.29. Infosys, Satyam, Wipro, Patni Computers, ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank, MTNL and Tata Motors dropped 1-3% each.
