Wall Street perks up, ADRs gain, oil drops

The Dow Jones industrial average gained 68 points at 11,352. The Nasdaq advanced 20 points to 2161.

Indian ADRs ended mostly with gains. VSNL surged over 3% to $17.95. MTNL and HDFC Bank added 2.5% each to $6.70 and $57, respectively. Infosys, Satyam and ICICI Bank were up over 1.5% each at $43.82, $38.52 and $26.82, respectively.

The crude oil futures for October delivery dropped $1.90 to settle at $70.61 per barrel on the NYMEX.
