WANO will be changing its Charter by the end of the year to accommodate several new players in the nuclear energy business in addition to taking care of the ageing fleet and demand for trained manpower, WANO president SK Jain said today.
Due to climate change and global warming, there is a great demand for nuclear power programme even by those countries in Asia which do not have proper infrastructure. In the West, countries including Sweden, the US and the UK are planning to continue and expand the nuclear power programme.
Most of the managers in WANO are technology and production-focused, "We are also successful in the crucial area of human performance and given importance to it.
