To avoid extra expenditure on fuel as a result of the closure of Pakistan airspace, Air-India has decided to temporarily reschedule its west bound flights operating to and from Europe/UK and US via Delhi. These flights will now originate and terminate at Mumbai, omitting Delhi.
A spokesperson of the airline today said the decision to reschedule had been taken keeping in view the uncertainty created by fog in Delhi and the closure of Pakistan airspace.
The carrier will provide shuttle services between Delhi and Mumbai with minimum connecting time at Mumbai for west bound flights.
