Wheat dara prices drifted by Rs 5 per quintal in an otherwise steady wholesale grains market on reduced offtake against adequate stocks position.

Elsewhere, other commodities continued to trade in a tight range in restricted buying activity and settled around previous levels.

Traders said reduced offtake by flour mills against adequate stocks following new crop arrivals mainly led to the decline in wholesale wheat dara prices.

In the national capital, wheat dara (for mills) declined by Rs 5 to Rs 1,185-1,190 per quintal, while atta chakki delivery followed suit and traded lower by the same margin to Rs 1,190-1,195 per 90 kg.
