Worker & #8217;S Rally Disrupts Lok Sabha

A march to Delhi by workers belonging to all trade unions, except the RSS-affiliated Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh, today found a reflection in both Houses of Parliament.

The scenes were particularly uproarious in the Lok Sabha where the question hour was disrupted because of Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee's perceived dismissiveness of labour issues.

Chaos erupted in the House when the Opposition tried to raise the issue of the trade union demonstration and the Prime Minister claimed that 7 million new jobs had been created by the government.
