Yamuna eyes more govt orders

Haryana-based Yamuna Power and Infrastructure Limited is looking to bag orders worth Rs 50 crore from various state governments in the coming months.

Rajiv Sardana, director, Yamuna Power and Infrastructure Limited (formerly Yamuna Gases & Chemicals) said the company had bagged orders worth Rs 26 crore from the Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (UHBVN) for supply and erection in various parts of state.

The company has already applied for various tenders floated by state governments, defence and railways. It has submitted tenders for supplying composite polymer insulators to the Eastern Railways.

It is also handling various turnkey projects for states including Himachal, Uttarakhand, Delhi and Kolkata for setting up substations up to 33 Kv. Going forward, it plans to bid for substations up to 66 Kv and 132 Kv.

 

Last year, the company registered a turnover of Rs 100 crore. YPIL company offers a complete range of cable jointing accessories and exports its products to 34 countries including Europe, Africa, Asia and the West Asia.
