Yashwantrao Chavan Maharashtra Open University (YCMOU) has singed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the pharma major Lupin Ltd to train its trainee employees.
This MoU is a part of the University’s policy of developing skills of employees from industries.
As per the MoU, the employees who join the company after HSC, will be enrolled for a three-year’s degree programme ‘B.Sc in Industrial Drug Scienence’ at the studty centre, which will be opened at company’s Tarapur facility in Maharashtra. The Pharmacy College of Nashik-based Maratha Vidya Prasarak Sanstha (MVP) will provide training there to Lupin employees.
“Only giving degree is not the University’s goal. Our aim is to develop knowledge and skills among students, and make them more employable. As part of this, we have singed MoU with Lupin Ltd to train its trainee employees,” said Dr. R Krishnakumar on the occasion.
Lupin will bear fees of the students; provide them free of cost accommodation, food, besides paying them a handsome stipend.The MoU was signed by Diwakar Kaza, President (HR), Lupin Ltd and Dr. Prakash Atkare, Registrar, YCMOU.
