Zen Comtrade kicks off futures in commodities

Zen Comtrade Pvt Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of Zen Securities Limited, today commenced its trading operations in National Commodities and Derivatives Exchange Limited (NCDEX).

It executed a few transactions in gold and silver to mark the formal launch. Zen Securities, one of the leading stock broking firms in the state with a presence in all major towns, has an extensive base of retail investors in the state.

Zen Comtrade plans to offer futures trading in gold, silver, soyabean, refined soya oil, rapeseedmustard seed, expeller rapeseed mustard oil, RBD palm olien, crude palm oil, J34 medium staple cotton and S06 L S cotton through NCDEX. The future contracts currently offered are 1 month, 2 month and the 3 month futures.

"We see a good potential for futures trading in commodities in Andhra Pradesh, which has a large market presence in terms of consumption and production of various agricultural commodities. We are planning to expand our operations to all the major towns in due course of time," said K Ravindra Babu, the managing director and main promoter of Zen Securities.
