Police have included the name of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) candidate from Guna-Shivpuri Lok Sabha seat, Shailendra Kushwaha in the FIR registered in connection with alleged gangrape of a woman last year.
However, AAP's Madhya Pradesh unit secretary Akshay Hunka termed the issue as "politically motivated."
The woman alleged that Kushwaha and three other AAP office bearers allegedly raped her at least three times over a period of more than a year, police said.

Inspector General (IG) Gwalior, Adarsh Katiyar told PTI today "We registered an FIR in the case soon after the woman filed the complaint initially against two persons and yesterday added the names of remaining two including Kushwaha."
The other persons named in the FIR are Gwalior district's AAP convener Himanshu Kulshreshta, district secretary Abhijit Wagh and district spokesperson Manuraj Saxena, police said.
After filing complaint in March this year, the woman had said that she was associated with Anna Hazare's anti-corruption movement and had later joined the AAP.
The woman claimed that she went to Raipur later and came back to file a complaint at the Kampu police station on March 26, after suffering for almost a year.
The victim also claimed that she lodged a police complaint only after she reported the matter to AAP leaders in Delhi, who did not help her.
Hunka said, "The way the woman reported the matter after over a year and on the last day of nomination on that seat, it appears to be a politically motivated issue."
"Police also said at that time that they will first probe the complaint and then register an FIR, but now they are saying that they registered the case that time only against two persons and later added two more names in the FIR...All these things appears to be politically motivated," he said.
"As far as the complaint is concerned, I myself went to meet the concerned district returning officer and requested him to conduct a fair probe into the matter so that truth comes out in the case," he added.
