Bhupinder Singh, former Leader of Opposition, who recently joined the ruling Biju Janata Dal (BJD) today said, he has no desire to contest the elections.
"The final decision will be taken by the party President and I am ready to take up any assignment offered (to me)," said Singh who had won four times on Congress ticket from Narla in Kalahandi district.
The Congress veteran joined BJD for being cold-shouldered over his wish to contest Lok Sabha election from Kalahandi constituency which is currently represented by another senior leader, Bhakta Charan Das. Das is likely to be re-nominated for this seat.
