The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Friday released a "chargesheet" on the failures of the Congress-led UPA government's "a dark decade in governance". The BJP singled out Congress president Sonia Gandhi and Vice-President Rahul Gandhi for leading a government that failed on all fronts.
The party said the ruling coalition devalued the office of the PM, destroyed the economy, unleashed an endless saga of scams, failed to meet national security and foreign policy challenges, neglected the development of Northeastern states, was myopic on dealing with health and education sectors, undermined institutions and failed to fulfill the promises it made to the nation in the 2009 manifesto. "The Congress-led UPA government has been a disaster for the country,"the 68-page 'chargesheet' stated.
