Former Uttarakhand Chief Minister B C Khanduri today said the Harish Rawat-led Congress government in the hill state should resign on moral grounds after the drubbing it received in the Lok Sabha elections.
"Where is the morality or ethics in Congress. They are facing so many corruption charges. I had resigned earlier when we had lost five seats in Uttarakhand, but I don't think Congress would do it," he told reporters outside the RSS office here.
The Congress had won from all the five constituencies in Uttarakhand in 2009, but was routed in the General Elections this time as the BJP wrested all the five seats.

"They have given red beacons to all the MLAs who are supporting them," he replied.
Asked about his visit to RSS headquarters, Khanduri said he had come to meet some functionaries here.
Before Khanduri, other senior BJP leaders Vijay Sonkar Shastri and Sumitra Mahajan had come to 'Keshav Kunj', the RSS office here.
