‘Jai Samaikhyandhra Party’ is the name of the new political outfit announced recently by former chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy.

Reddy named his party after Unified Andhra, the slogan that was popularised during the anti-bifurcation protests that had erupted in the Seemandhra region after the Congress Working Committee (CWC) endorsed the state division on July 30, 2013.

This region would form the residuary state of Andhra Pradesh starting June 2.

The Government of India has already notified the AP Reorganisation Act, 2014 besides fixing the appointed date for the creation of Telangana state. AP with the existing boundaries will cease to exist by the time the new governments of the respective states will be formed in culmination of the ongoing election process.
