MDMK leader Vaiko today met M K Alagiri, former leader of DMK who was expelled by the Party. MDMK is part of BJP-led National Democratic Alliance.

Vaiko said that he met Alagiri to seek his support for NDA. "I came to meet Alagiri to garner support for me. I wanted to him to support me in the Lok Sabha polls," Vaiko told reporters in Madurai today.

It may be noted earlier Alagiri earlier said "Modi can be a good Prime Minister".

Alagiri was expelled from the Party in January on grounds of disciplinary action. Last week DMK had also said that any member of the party who maintained contact with Alagiri would face a similar fate.
