RJD president Lalu Prasad today made a blistering attack on friend-turned-foe Ramvilas Paswan, saying the LJP chief had "finished" himself politically by joining hands with "communal" BJP.

"Paswan has finished himself by joining hands with the BJP," Prasad told reporters before setting out for an election tour of Hajipur Lok Sabha constituency.

"How dirty and turncoat he is. Nobody wishes to hear his (Paswan's) name now," the RJD chief said.

Prasad's anger was a result of Paswan leaving him and Congress to join hands with BJP. From being in the UPA, LJP returned to NDA in February and announced to contest the Lok Sabha elections with the BJP-led alliance.

"By going with BJP, Paswan has exposed himself as to what kind of a secularist he is," Prasad said.

The RJD president today addressed an election rally at Mahua in Hajipur constituency in favour of Congress nominee Sanjeev Prasad Toni who is contesting against Ramvilas Paswan.

Prasad also took a dig at Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, alleging that he "ditched" him in the fight for social justice and claimed that it was he who had shaped the political career of the JD(U) leader.
