Taking potshots at the bickering between old allies Shiv Sena and BJP, NCP today said the squabble would intensify and spread among other constituents of the alliance.
"Now, the fight has started between Sena and BJP (over senior BJP leader Nitin Gadkari's plans to woo Raj Thackeray -led MNS). Later, it will be between Sena, BJP and RPI and eventually it will spread among other constituents of the 'Mahayuti'," state NCP president Bhaskar Jadhav said. He lauded Sena spokesperson Rahul Narvekar for withdrawing from Council polls, which led to all nine candidates of various parties, getting elected unopposed.
"Narvekar has shown understanding. His party has done injustice to him," Jadhav told reporters. Narvekar is son-in-law of senior NCP leader Ramraje Nimbalkar.
