In what is seen as a neck-to-neck fight, Mahadev Jankar of Rashtriya Samaj Paksha, an ally of the Sena-BJP has established a lead over NCP leader Supriya Sule in Baramati.
Jankar had polled 95,334 votes, followed by Sule with 88,552 votes, till reports last came in. Earlier, Sule was leading by over 9,000 votes.
In Pune, Anil Shirole of BJP is leading by over 80,000 votes.

In what could be dubbed as the worst ever performance by the Congress, it was leading only in Nanded where former Chief Minister Ashok Chavan was contesting out of the 47 trends so far.
Out of the 48 constituencies in Maharashtra, BJP had established a lead in 22 seats, Shiv Sena 18, NCP 3, Rashtriya Samaj Paksha one and Swabhimani Paksha, another ally of the Sena-BJP, with two seats in Madha and Hatkanangale.
