Himachal elections result 2022 LIVE: Congress wins 10 seats, leading on 29 more

In Himachal Pradesh, Congress has won ten constituencies and is leading on 29 others, according to the Election Commission of India data at 2:35 pm. 

 

The BJP, leading on 17 more seats, has won nine constituencies so far. 

 

Two Himachal Pradesh have been won by independent leaders.

Congress MP Anand Sharma said that the Old Pension Scheme has been demanded by other states too.

"In Himachal Pradesh, it was demanded by Govt employees and their staff. The reasons will be analysed but Congress has won in north India after several years. This will boost morale and influence other states. When the election comes next year - in Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh - you will see that a message has been sent," Sharma said.

In Himachal Pradesh, Congress win in Jubbal-Kotkhai, Kinnaur, Chamba and Shimla seats, leading in 36 seats. BJP wins in Mandi, Nurpur, Pachad, Paonta Sahib and Sundernagar, leading in 20 seats.
