Kanjighat records 100% polling

A polling booth at village Kanjighat near the picturesque tourist spot Panchmarhi in Hoshangabad district of Madhya Pradesh recorded 100 per cent polling soon after voting commenced.       

There were only 41 voters in the village and all of them exercised their right to franchise, soon after the commencement of the polling, district election officer and Hoshangabad Collector Nishant Varvade told PTI.       

He said that the exact voting time will be known once he gets the report from the Assistant Returning Officer (ARO) in this regard.      

However, the polling booths will have to be kept open till 1700 hours, he added.
