The Shiv Sena on Sunday said the party president Uddhav Thackeray would not attend the dinner hosted by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Shiv Sena minister Anant Gite said: ''The dinner is organised for NDA MPs and therefore all Shiv Sena MPs are attending it. Shiv Sena president Uddav Thackeray will not be there as he is not MP. It is even improper to ask question with regard to party president's presence at today's dinner.''

In a related development, Shiv Sena MP Gajanan Kirtikar, who was in New Delhi to attend PM's dinner, however, said BJP has changed its attitude as a large number of BJP leaders are opposed to ally with Shiv Sena in Maharashtra.
''BJP is opposed to take the Shiv Sena on board. Its attitude is totally changed. However, BJP should not forget that both the Shiv Sena and the BJP together had ruled the state during 1995-99,'' he added.
