Andhra Bank, SIB, Yes Bank win awards

Andhra Bank, South Indian Bank and Yes Bank have won the top award as the best banks in the categories of public sector, old private sector and private new generation banks, at the Banking Excellence Awards instituted by the State Forum of Bankers’ Clubs.

Among the public sector banks, Corporation Bank and Canara Bank stood second and third respectively. Karur Vysya Bank was second best private sector bank, while Jammu & Kashmir Bank stood third in this category.

Among new generation banks, IndusInd Bank bagged the second position, followed by HDFC Bank and Axis Bank in the third slot. Union Bank of India's Kalamassery branch was adjudged the best public sector branch in Kerala. SBT Vandoor branch and Bank of India's Thiruvaniyur branch stood second and third respectively.

 

Federal Bank Mananthavady branch has been selected as the best private sector bank branch. South Indian Bank Thiruvanathapuram main branch came second. Cheruvannur branch of the Federal Bank won the third position.

The Bankers’ Club of Kozhikode has been adjudged as the best bankers’ club in the Kerala followed by reater Kochi and Pathanamthitta Bankers’ clubs.
