Axis Bank has reported a 76.85 per cent growth in net profit at Rs 402.91 crore for the second quarter ended September 30, 2008 when compared with its corresponding quarter a year-ago.
According to a release issued by the bank to the Bombay Stock Exchange, Q2FY09 total income rose to Rs 3,239.45 crore from Rs 2,059.37 crore in Q2FY08.
Shares of Axis Bank were trading at Rs 606.25, up nearly 10 per cent at 1100 hrs today on the BSE.
