Banks Board Bureau recommends nine for ED posts

These recommendations are based on interactions held by the Banks Board Bureau with eligible candidates

The Banks Board Bureau, headed by Vinod Rai, has recommended nine candidates for posts of executive directors at public sector banks.

The names put forward by the bureau include four chief general managers from the State Bank of India's associate banks, A K Pradhan, M K Bhattacharya, S Hari Sanker and A C Rout. Other officials being recommended include Fareed Ahmed, general manager at Corporation Bank, and Damodharan Neelam, general manager at Bank of Baroda.

These recommendations are based on interactions held by the Banks Board Bureau with eligible candidates. The recommendations are for appointments to fill existing and future vacancies of executive directors in public-sector banks for 2016-17, the bureau said in a statement.
 
The government will conduct due diligence on the names recommended by the bureau before taking a final decision on the appointments.
