Bank of Punjab (BoP) today announced its tie-up with Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL), to facilitate the account holders of the bank to pay their BSNL phone bills through its e-banking services.
An agreement to this effect was signed by Tejbir Singh, executive director, BoP and Prithpal Singh, chairman and managing director of BSNL.
Speaking on the occasion, Singh said, "BSNL customers can now simply walk into one of the bank's branches or use any of the preferred channels to access their accounts, press a few buttons and their bills would be paid. We are leveraging the extensive technology of the Bank to make it convenient for the customer. We will offer unparalleled services to customers of BSNL and Bank of Punjab."

Prithipal Singh, CMD of BSNL, stressed on BSNL's focus on customer convenience at all times. "This facility will help our customers to have access to additional modes of paying bills, apart from the conventional system of payment by cheque or cash," he added.
This tie-up will enable BSNL customers to pay their bills online through various electronic channels of the bank like ATMs, internet banking, phone banking and mobile banking. This tie-up will also enable BoP customers to give standing instructions for paying BSNL bills through their accounts.
