Buyouts Still Tantalising For Foreign Banks: Abn

The rational for acquisition of private banks remains despite the Union budget proposal to allow foreign banks to corporatise themselves, according to Romesh Sobti, executive vice-president and chief executive of ABN Amro Bank.

As foreign banks are allowed to set up subsidiaries, they expect to open branches at will and expand organically, Sobti said.
